Say "Hellooooooo" to Gracie! Gracie is a sweet, intelligent, loving girl who was rescued from Redstone Arsenal. She is a Norwegian Forest Cat, and exhibits the traits that the breed is known for (from www.catster.com): "Norwegian Forest Cats are friendly and playful, as well as patient, and are known for being tolerant toward children and other pets. They are very intelligent, and enjoy climbing (NOTE: See video!). They are not easily stressed, and adapt better to change than many other breeds of cat. Even though these cats have a thick, fluffy coat, they do not need frequent grooming like other longhaired breeds. A once a week brushing is enough most times of the year." Gracie fit in immediately with the other pets at her foster home, and she is particularly fond of dogs (sometimes to the dogs' irritation!). Aside from being one of the prettiest and softest cats you've ever seen, Gracie is sweet and gentle. Her BFF (Best Friend Forever) is Little Bit, who is also up for adoption. Adopt this sweet girl, and you can say, "Goodnight, Gracie" for many years to come! Q: Do you adopt out of state? A: We will adopt to families that live within a 2-hour driving distance from Huntsville, AL. For adoptions more than a 30-minute drive, an extra but reasonable fee may apply to help cover our fuel expenses. Q: What is your adoption fee, and what does it cover? A: Our adoption fee is currently $125.00 for most dogs and cats, if adopted within a 30-minute driving radius of Huntsville. For cats, the fee pays for FeLV/FIV testing (if age appropriate), first vaccinations of FVRCPC, rabies shot, bordetella vaccination (if needed), deworming, and spaying or neutering.
